Biography

Emma Raducanu (born 13 November 2002) is a British professional tennis player. She has reached a career-high singles ranking of world No. 10, achieved in July 2022. She is the current British No. 2 in women's singles.

Raducanu was the 2021 US Open champion, becoming the first British woman to win a singles major since Virginia Wade at the 1977 Wimbledon Championships. With that victory, she became the first qualifier in the Open Era to win a singles major title, achieved without dropping a set during the tournament. It was the second major of her career, and she holds the Open-Era record for the fewest majors played before winning a title.
